Little Treasures 2011
Over recent years I have curated many
exhibitions of fine artwork by
individual creators from all over the
world. Through the great diversity of
individual expression these exhibitions
have grown in size and attention and
have always been well received by the
public and critics alike.
The show ‘Magic’ in 2006 at the Castello
Estense in Ferrara seemed to re-awaken
an awareness of the great traditions of
art inherent to Italy and especially
Ferrara. The traditionalists with their
superb renderings of reality echoed the
spirit of Cosmé Tura, while the magic of
the metaphysical abstraction, reminded
us of Carrŕ and De Chirico.
The ‘Spirit - Spirit In Art’ exhibition
in 2007 brought with it a redoubled
enthusiasm and further enlightened
interchange between the artists, their
public and myself.
So, the following three years until
2010, within the same castle walls, I
saw my tree of art blossom and I was
honoured to curate three further great
International exhibitions. These shows,
‘Traces of Memory’, ‘Imaginary Journeys’
and ‘Creative Energy’ were magnificent
occasions where genuine and sincere
artists from all over the world came to
meet and exchange their cultural and
aesthetic views. It was as if a great
discovery of emotional and spiritual
treasure had been located. As we dug
deeper (often far into the night over
good limoncello or red wine) we knew
that there was much more to be unearthed.
This search culminated in our first
‘Little Treasures’ exhibition held in
2009 and continued with the one held in
2010.
But also new perspectives came thank to
my journey to Australia in order to join
the ‘Art Melbourne Fair’ in 2010; this
experience proved a very important step
for me in that it gives me confidence
and opens up all sorts of international
possibilities for the future; besides
that this venture has also been a strong
test for Trevisan International Art,
forcefully demonstrating, that, thanks
to the integrity and creative richness
of the artists, we are able to cross any
geographic barrier.
Once again, from this great blossoming
tree of art came the fall of delicate
small petals. These are happily gathered
once again and proudly presented to you
as our third exhibition of ‘Little
Treasures’. I’m very affectionate to
this already annual exhibition and it’s
great joy for me to organize it and
curate it and to share it with all of
the artists who have contributed such
exquisite creations to this very special
exhibition I would like to thank.
Thank you for your interest and I
sincerely hope that you will enjoy the
show. |
